It gives me great pleasure to congratulate Tulassi today on achieving this level to perform the Arangetram
I have know Tulassi since 4 years when she started learning the piano with me. Soon I learnt that she also took classes in the Veena, was studying Tamil and also took Carnatic dance lessons. I was and am still very impressed with her dedication and commitment to learning so many different forms of art and culture. It is very impressive that she excels in each one while also pursuing the IB program in school alongside with these extra curricular subjects.
I am so proud that Tulassi is keeping her culture alive in Canada. I am so excited to be able to watch her arangetram where she is showcasing all that she has learned. Considering the past year and a half and what the world has gone through with COVID, it hasn’t dampened the spirit and Tulassi along with her friend Varunika persevered and have reached today where they can perform for us. I applaud their parents who tirelessly drove them from Mississauga to Markham each week, encouraged them and provided for whatever was needed to keep them motivated to reach this stage.
I would like to congratulate them both on reaching this milestone and wish them the very best in what lies ahead. You are our future and I am assured our world is in a capable hands with children like you. Go on, shine forth and take on the world with all the talents you have. May God Bless you.
